Tenure-track or Tenure Faculty Position in Computer Engineering/Computer Science

The School of Computer Engineering (SCE) at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, invites qualified academics to apply for a number of tenure-track or tenure faculty positions as Full Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering and Computer Science.



Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines. The School seeks individuals with exceptional promise for, or a proven record of, research achievement who will excel in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, while assuming a position of international standing in their field of research. Candidates must have vision and an interest in defining (a) the research frontier as well as (b) the education of next-generation leaders in this rapidly evolving field. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to combine theoretical knowledge with practical development of computational solutions and systems within one of the following, or closely related areas:



Digital Systems: custom computing architectures, reconfigurable computing, system-on-chip, multi/many-core processors, electronic design automation for architecture-aware synthesis.



Cyber-Physical Systems and Security: networked embedded systems, robust and safety-critical systems, embedded software, reliability-aware design and fault tolerance, information security, hardware/software security, cyber security, system dependability, system vulnerability analysis.



Visual and Interactive Computing: new user interface, brain-based interaction, human-centric computing, video analytics, game-based learning and gamification.



Networks and Distributed Systems: modeling and computer simulation in areas such as medicine & health care, transportation and logistics, homeland security and military defense, natural environmental changes, virtual environments, cyber warfare and complex systems.



Software & Information Systems: complex software, human-centric software engineering, software testing and performance evaluation, agile software development methodologies, medical informatics, big-data analytics and data science.



The School of Computer Engineering has undergone a major curriculum revision and re-alignment of research areas, and is supported by modern teaching and research laboratory facilities. Visiting Professorship

The School of Computer Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University is seeking candidates for a two- to six-month academic visit to the School in 2013.

Candidates must be well established leaders in a scientific field related, but not limited to Computer Science and Engineering.  The goal of this Visiting Professorship is to enhance multi-disciplinary research via an active collaboration with the faculty members of the School.  

Successful candidates are expected to take a leading role in developing research applications to the local and international funding agencies and industry. In addition, candidates are expected to present seminars and lectures in their areas of expertise. We are particularly seeking established senior scientists who have made significant contributions to their field and who can play a mentoring role to junior faculty members in the School.

Financial assistance for the professorship will cover travel, housing and an honorarium.
