- Carried out over two weeks during the mid-term recess week and the week after examination. Attendance is compulsory during the two weeks.
- Teams will be formed during the CSC207 lab.

| What is CIDP? | CIDP is a full-time programme that extends the practicum of CSC207 (Software Engineering I) and reinforces the subject matter in CSC303 (Software Engineering II). CIDP emphasises the application of a complete software development cycle towards the construction of a web-based software system. |
| Is CIDP compulsory? | CIDP is a compulsory programme that must be undertaken by all Computer Science undergraduates when they first become eligible. |
| Prerequisites? | Note: Students who have passed or are registered for CSC207 are eligible for CSC279(CIDP). This implies any pass or registration of the subject CSC207 will make a student eligible for CIDP. On the other hand, if a student has neither passed nor registered for CSC207, then he is not eligible for the CIDP. |
