ELITE Programme
Another distinct element that highlights SCE’s industry-relevant academic focus is its collaboration with the Infocomm Development Authority’s (IDA) Enhanced Learning in Infocomm Technology (ELITe) programme, which nurtures undergraduates into infocomm professionals who are prepared for tomorrow’s infocomm industry. Supported by IDA and its network of industry partners, the ELITe programme complements classroom learning with various activities that tap on industry partners’ involvement to cultivate industry-relevant learning experiences for its students.
Highlights of the Programme
- Guidance and mentorship by key industry infocomm professionals
Throughout the programme’s duration, ELITe undergraduates will have the opportunity to establish a mentorship relationship with an infocomm professional who can provide an industry perspective and advice on in-demand skills. Industry mentors will be able to feedback on ELITe undergraduates’ progress via their progress reports.
- Training in key and in demand infocomm skills and other soft skills
To enhance their overall capabilities in meeting the challenges in the infocomm sector, ELITe undergraduates will have the opportunity to take up certifications and courses in technical, business and soft skills areas.
- Local and/or overseas internship opportunities with top companies
Internships with industry partners under the ELITe programme provide undergraduate with first-hand exposure to the infocomm sector.
- Enriching experiences through industry-relevant projects
Actively engages undergraduates in relevant, industry-related project experiences.
- Exposure to infocomm policy thinking
Exposes undergraduates to infocomm policy thinking through seminars, lectures and speaker series.
