Computer Engineering

The research areas of the Computer Engineering academic staff members include the broad areas of Digital Systems, Security, Software & Information Systems, Algorithms & Analytics, Computational Intelligence, Visual Understanding, Visual & Interactive Computing, Networks & Communication, Distributed Computing.

Research interests of individual staff members can be found under the Division of Hardware and Embedded Systems, Division of Networks and Distributed Systems, Division of Software and Information Systems or the Division of Visual and Interactive Computing. Most of the research projects are conducted in the Research Centres and Laboratory. Many research and development activities are supported by local industries through joint research programmes and consulting services.

Collaborations with Industry

The School of Computer Engineering continues to work with partners in the industry to produce research that is relevant to their needs.  A number of successful projects have been completed through such collaborations. Partners include Microsoft Research Asia, Rolls-Royce Plc, Anime International Company, A*STAR (SERC), Infocomm Dev Authority of Singapore (IDA) and more.
